Your residential address must be within the garden's catchment boundaries.
Our catchment is the Delaware River to 6th Street and the south side of Lombard to the north side of Washington Avenue.
Waitlist applicants who move outside of the catchment boundaries are no longer eligible for a plot. Incoming members who move outside of the catchment area must relinquish their plot.
Each year, members pay annual dues (this year's have been set at $50) and attend five garden meetings and participate in five garden workdays. Members who do not maintain their plots may be asked to leave the garden.
In addition, all gardeners are required to adhere to the by-laws of the SWQV Community Garden and the Neighborhood Gardens Trust agreement.

No. We do not have any outside volunteer opportunities at this time. Local area parks and public spaces that are often looking for volunteers include Weccacoe Playground, Beck Park, Jefferson Square Park, Mario Lanza Park, Washington Avenue Green, Moyamensing Point, and Shot Tower Playground. More information is available from Queen Village Neghborhood Association.
In addition, Gloria Dei (Old Swedes) Church Historic Site welcomes volunteers to help maintain its native garden, which supports local wildlife by cultivating native plants, trees, and shrubs. More information about the garden is available here.
