How to Use Zelle
What is Zelle and why is the garden using it? Zelle is a widely used, secure mobile banking app to send money between bank accounts. The garden is using Zelle because the fees for Venmo or PayPal are too expensive; Zelle is provided free by our bank. For more information on Zelle, including how to use it and FAQs, see zellepay.com/get-started.
How does it work?
-
Zelle works through a mobile banking app
-
If you are already using a mobile banking app with your bank, check the app to see if Zelle is included – it’s in more than 2,200, so most likely yours.
-
Follow the instructions to enroll in Zelle – see your mobile banking app (apps may differ).
-
From within your mobile banking app, follow instructions to set up a contact for Zelle using the garden email (no phone number needed). See screen shots below.
-
From within your mobile banking app, follow instructions to send money to the garden via Zelle. If a reason for sending money is requested/optional, indicate your plot number and purpose (e.g., dues, honey).
-
Verify the recipient is the garden and send.
