Independent Task List

Please log your independent hours on the Independent Tasks List form. Be specific about what you did so we can plan for the community clean-up. You may log up to four hours total (including community clean-up) per month.

Completed between April & May Clean-Ups

  • Cut back Virginia Creeper along north fence to make removal easier at clean-up. DO NOT step in plot near bees/pollinator garden.

  • Ask Thom H. if he is available to stain the lattice to get read to install. 

  • Help Lisa Rubens with mulching.

  • Mount Seed Library sign (in shed) and remove Little Library sign on the seed library.

Tasks to be completed any time

  • STREET

    • Clear trash from sidewalk, tree pits, and front gate.

    • Prune suckers on street trees (learn about this at a clean-up first)

  • WEEDING: Please note: Gardeners are responsible for weeding and clearing the paths at the head and foot of their plot, so weeding the east-west paths is not eligible for independent hours. 
    To identify weeds, consult the Weeding 101 Guide.

    • Inside and outside front gat

    • To the west of the west gate 

    • The Orchard

    • Woodpile and compost

    • Perimeter of flower/herb garden 

    • Pollinator garden

    • Grape arbor

    • South of the composing toilet/rock garden

  • BIRD BATHS: Please refill water in all six bird baths (anytime you see them empty) 

  • SHED: Straighten out, check supplies​

  • COMPOSTING TOILET: Sweep, clean surfaces, check supplies​

  • NEW BED IN NORTHEAST CORNER: 

    • ​​Once lattice is installed and prepped, weed and water.

Long-term maintenance projects

  • Finish the honey house (pressure wash and stain)
